Green Energy Geothermal International Limited (GEG) announce the following changes to the composition of its Board of Directors with effect from 29 December 2017.
Mr Tom Rotjer, who has served on the board since June 2012, has stepped down from the position of board member.
“We gratefully acknowledge his five and a half years of service on the Board of Directors and we thank him most sincerely for his invaluable contribution to GEG.” said GEG’s Chairman, James McNaught-Davis.
Dr Thorleif Enger has been re-appointed a member of the board. Dr Enger previously served as Chairman of GEG AS from 17 February 2011 to 03 February 2014.
Thorleif has been Chairman or Non-Executive Director of several boards, including Telenor, Spring Energy, HitecVision, and Marine Harvest. He was elected Norway’s SPE Oilman of the Year in 1996 and selected as one of the 10 best business leaders in Norway after World War II.
He previously served as CEO of Yara International from 2004 to 2008, Director of the Oseberg oil field from 1982 to 1986 and President of the exploration and production division of Norsk Hydro from 1986 to 1996.
Thorleif has a PhD in Structural Engineering from the University of Colorado.
James McNaught-Davis stated, “We are delighted to welcome Thorleif back onto the Board of Directors and that his long industrial experience at the most senior levels will once again be at GEG’s disposal.”
